Founded in 2018, we are a young company backed with decades of experience in the timber industry. After owning several saw mills, founder Douglas Leadbetter felt it was time to take it to the next level with his passion for timber and sustainability.

We are not just another mill interested in volume milling. Created with real Aussie bushman spirit we believe in creating quality product, over quantity. At Byron Specialty Timber each piece is special to us and is cut with care. There is a level of excitement we put into each cut, as we contemplate it’s end home, where it will impact someone’s life for good.
